About Coach

Cami Thelander

With a unique, body-centered approach called Embodied Grief Support, Cami provides holistic healing for life’s deepest losses. Having lost her father to ALS at age 11 and her stepfather to cancer at 15, she intimately understands the profound impact and deep pain of grief on both mind and body. After struggling for years with the limitations of traditional treatments, she began her own healing journey, seeking alternative methods that finally provided the relief and resilience she needed.

Today, Cami offers Grief Coaching, Craniosacral Therapy (bodywork), Grief Yoga, custom essential oils, and mindfulness techniques to help clients confidently navigate life after loss. Her holistic approach leans into the body’s inherent wisdom, supporting wellness on all levels—physical, emotional, and spiritual. By integrating body-centered practices and transformational grief coaching, Cami helps clients manage stress, rebuild emotional resilience, and discover effective coping tools for healthy grief processing. Her compassionate, embodied approach empowers clients to move through grief, restoring a sense of purpose, balance, and well-being that honors both loss and life.

In addition to her holistic healing services, Cami is an educator with the Confident Grief Coach School, where she trains and mentors others in holding safe, compassionate spaces for grief. She facilitates grief coach certification programs and equips professionals with the tools they need to support grieving individuals with skill and sensitivity. Cami’s work is grounded in extensive training, including End of Life Doula training with INELDA and International Doula Life Movement, Advanced Grief Coach Certification, and professional credentialing as an ACC-certified Life Coach through the International Coaching Federation. She is also a certified NLP and Timeline Therapy® Practitioner. By integrating these modalities with her Embodied Grief Support approach, Cami brings a deeply intuitive, body-centered lens to grief work—meeting people where they are and guiding them through healing with authenticity, care, and profound respect for both loss and life.

My “why”

These are pictures of me and my dad, Steve, and my stepdad, Greg. Its important to me that I include them in my story. They have taught me a lot about death, grief, and spirituality and have given me endless opportunities to explore the shadow aspects of healing through life’s traumas. Through the challenges, they have also taught me about the importance of vibrant health, nurturing meaningful relationships, and pursuing your dreams– with a deep awareness that life is short and much too precious to spend time doing anything other than what truly feels purposeful and lights you up. I think of them daily as they continue to guide me in offering this transformative work for my community, and for my own healing.
